The curriculum at North Bridge House Senior School combines both innovative and traditional approaches to offer a challenging environment of learning. Classes are kept small to ensure that staff can work closely with each individual in achieving success.
In Years Seven, Eight and Nine, all pupils study, English, Maths and Science, as well as History, Geography, French, Spanish, Information Technology, Art, Music, Craft Design Technology, Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) and Physical Education. Year Seven pupils are taught English, Maths, History, Geography and PSHE by the classroom teacher, to provide extra guidance and to make the transition from junior school as supportive as possible.
In Years Ten and Eleven all pupils take English and English Literature, French, Maths and Single Science GCSEs. Pupils also choose three more subjects at GCSE from: Art, Craft Design Technology, Double Science, Geography, History, Information Technology, Media Studies, Music, Photography, Physical Education and Spanish.
Extra support is available, including for pupils with Dyslexia and English as an additional language. (EAL)
