Music

Music plays an important and exciting part of school life. It is taught by a full-time Head of Music and five visiting Music teachers who teach a range of orchestral instruments, as well as guitar and piano.

Years 7 to 9

All pupils listen to a broad spectrum of music and learn how to compose and appraise their practical work. Students also learn Music Theory and combine music with their ICT studies. Pupils are encouraged to play an instrument and to take examinations offered by the A.B.R.S.M. and the G.S.M.
